Midlaugh（以下「本アプリ」）は、置いておくと笑った瞬間を短い動画として残すフォトフレームです。本アプリは、あなたの映像と音声を開発者のサーバーへ送りません。笑い声の検出、顔の判定、まとめ動画の作成はすべて端末の中で行います。解析・広告・クラッシュレポートの SDK は組み込んでいません。

1. 端末内に保存する情報

本アプリは次の情報を、端末内のアプリ領域とデータベースに保存します。

笑い声の検出または手動の保存操作で残した動画（映像と音声、通常30秒）
動画ごとに選んだ静止画1枚（ベストフレーム）
動画をつないだまとめ動画
撮影した時刻、スコア、お気に入りなどの記録と、撮影の記録（セッション）
設定（モード、笑顔の判定から除く範囲、表示の好みなど）と、動画に添えたひとことなどの編集内容
写真アプリから取り込んだ画像のコピー（取り込みを選んだ場合）

2. カメラとマイク

撮影中はカメラとマイクを使い、直前の約60秒の映像と音声を端末内に一時的に記録します。一時的な記録は古いものから順に置き換わり、すべてを長く残すことはありません。笑い声を検出したときや手動で保存したときに、通常はその20秒前から10秒後までを動画として残します。撮影を終了したときは、保存を待っていた映像を、終了操作の時点までの短い動画として残すことがあります。残す対象にならなかった一時的な記録は削除されます。

3. 保存しない情報

顔の判定のために映像から導いた顔の形の値（目や口の位置関係など）は、撮影が終わると破棄し、ファイルやデータベースには書き込みません。
「どのくらい笑っていたか」というスコアは保存しますが、人を識別・照合するために使うことはありません。
動画には顔が写り、ベストフレームは顔の静止画です。見返すための映像は残り、人を識別するための特徴の値は残らない、という区別です。
位置情報や連絡先へのアクセスは求めません。広告識別子も取得しません。

4. 端末の外へ出る場合

映像や音声が端末の外へ出るのは、次の場合だけです。共有は操作したときに、写真アプリへの保存と iCloud への保存は設定でオンにした後に行われます。

写真アプリからの取り込み

あなたが選んだアルバムの写真を、フォトフレームの表示用に本アプリの領域へコピーします。コピーは端末内にとどまります。コピーした画像には、元の写真のメタデータが含まれる場合があります。

動画やまとめ動画は、iOS の共有シートから、メッセージ・メール・AirDrop・他のアプリなど、あなたが選んだ宛先へ送れます。送った先での扱いは、そのアプリやサービスによります。共有したことを開発者へ知らせる機能はありません。

写真アプリへの保存（初期設定はオフ）

設定でオンにすると、作成したまとめ動画を写真アプリへ保存します。保存した映像と音声には、iCloud 写真などの同期設定が適用されます。

iCloud への保存（クラウドプランのみ）

クラウドプランを購入し、クラウド同期をオンにした場合に限り、動画・まとめ動画・サムネイルと、それに関わる記録（撮影時刻・スコアなど）を、あなた自身の iCloud のプライベートデータベースへ保存します。開発者はその中身を見ることができません。同期をオフにしたり、プランが終了したりすると新しい保存は始まりませんが、すでに始まっていた送信は完了することがあります。また、すでに iCloud にある分は削除されません。機種変更のときなどは、「設定」→「プライバシーと保存」→「クラウドから思い出を復元」で、iCloud にある動画を戻せます。

共有リンク（クラウドプランのみ）

まとめ動画の共有リンクを作成できます。リンクは閲覧専用ですが、パスワードはかかりません。リンクを知っていて、Midlaugh・iCloud アカウント・クラウドプラン・同期オンの条件を満たす人は、その動画を見られます。リンクが転送されれば、転送先の人も見られます。受け取った動画は閲覧のために一時的に保存し、閉じると削除します。受け取った人が共有から別に保存したコピーを、本アプリから削除することはできません。

発行したリンクは、「設定」→「プライバシーと保存」→「共有リンクを管理」で一覧を取得し、「共有を停止」で止められます。この操作だけは、無料プランや解約後、同期オフのときでも iCloud に接続し、共有リンクだけを停止します。動画の送受信や新しい共有は行わず、元の動画は残ります。同期オフ・解約・端末内の動画の削除では、リンクは停止しません。同じ動画を再び共有すると、以前のリンクでも開ける場合があります。

5. 通知

通知を許可した場合、撮影した思い出がたまったことや、端末の空き容量が少ないことを、端末内で作成する通知（ローカル通知）でお知らせします。開発者のサーバーから通知を送ることはありません。

6. 購入

購入と復元は Apple の App Store を通じて処理されます。支払い情報は Apple が扱い、開発者は受け取りません。

7. 広告・解析・トラッキング

本アプリは広告を表示せず、解析 SDK を組み込まず、トラッキングを行いません。トラッキング許可（App Tracking Transparency）の画面は表示しません。

8. 撮られたくないとき

撮影中の「…」メニューから「一時停止」を選び、「保存待ちを破棄して一時停止」で確定すると、撮影を止め、保存を待っていた映像も保存せずに破棄します。すでに保存した動画は削除しません。
「撮影を終了」は別の操作で、保存を待っていた映像を終了時点まで残します。
設定で囲った範囲の顔は、笑顔の判定から除かれます。映像や音声を隠す機能ではなく、その範囲も動画には残ります。
撮影中は画面の隅に必ず光が灯ります。完全に隠して撮影する方法は用意していません。

9. データの削除

思い出やまとめ動画は、アプリ内の削除操作で、確認のうえ削除できます。削除すると元に戻せません。
容量の都合だけで、保存済みの思い出やまとめ動画を自動で削除することはありません。消すものはあなたが選びます。
アプリ内の削除は、この端末のアプリ領域が対象です。iCloud に保存した分、写真アプリに保存した分、共有先のコピーは一緒には削除されません。iCloud に残っている分は、「クラウドから思い出を復元」で再び表示されます。
アプリを削除すると、端末内のアプリ領域のデータは消えます。iCloud に保存した分は残るため、Apple の iCloud ストレージ管理で利用できる削除方法をご確認ください。

10. お子さまについて

本アプリは家庭の居間などに置かれることを想定しており、お子さまを含むご家族が映ることがあります。その映像の共有・写真アプリへの保存・iCloud への保存にも、上記の設定と操作が適用されます。開発者はこれらの映像を受け取りません。

Midlaugh Privacy Policy

Midlaugh (the “App”) is a photo frame that, while it sits in place, keeps short videos of the moments people laugh. The App does not send your video or audio to developer-operated servers. Laughter detection, face scoring and recap creation all happen on your device. The App contains no analytics, advertising or crash-reporting SDKs.

1. Information stored on your device

The App stores the following in its own storage and database on your device:

Videos kept after laughter is detected or after a manual save (video and audio, normally 30 seconds)
One still image chosen from each video (the best frame)
Recap videos made by joining videos together
Records such as capture time, scores and favorites, and capture session records
Settings (mode, areas excluded from smile scoring, display preferences and so on), and edits such as notes added to videos
Copies of photos imported from the Photos app (if you choose to import them)

2. Camera and microphone

While capture is on, the App uses the camera and microphone and temporarily keeps about the most recent 60 seconds of video and audio on your device. Older parts are replaced continuously; the whole session is never kept. When laughter is detected or you save manually, the App normally keeps the 20 seconds before and 10 seconds after that moment as a video. When you stop capture, video waiting to be saved may be kept as a shorter video ending at the moment you stopped. Temporary recordings that are not kept are deleted.

3. What is not stored

Face shape values derived from the video for scoring (such as the positions of eyes and mouth) are discarded when capture ends and are never written to a file or database.
Scores such as “how much someone was laughing” are stored, but are never used to identify or match people.
Faces appear in videos, and a best frame is a still image of a face. The line is: video for looking back is kept; feature values for identifying people are not.
The App does not ask for location or contacts access and does not obtain advertising identifiers.

4. When data leaves your device

Video and audio leave your device only in the cases below. Sharing happens when you choose it; saving to Photos and to iCloud happen after you turn them on in Settings.

Importing from Photos

Photos from an album you choose are copied into the App’s storage to show in the frame. The copies stay on your device and may keep metadata from the original photos.

Videos and recaps can be sent through the iOS share sheet to any destination you choose, such as Messages, Mail, AirDrop or other apps. What happens there is governed by that app or service. The App has no feature that reports sharing to the developer.

Saving to Photos (off by default)

If you turn it on in Settings, finished recaps are saved to the Photos app. Video and audio saved there follow your iCloud Photos and other sync settings.

Saving to iCloud (Cloud plan only)

Only if you buy the Cloud plan and turn on cloud sync, videos, recaps, thumbnails and their records (such as capture time and scores) are saved to your own iCloud private database. The developer cannot see its contents. Turning sync off or ending the plan stops new uploads, though an upload already underway may finish, and what is already in iCloud is not deleted. When you change devices, use Settings → Privacy & storage → Restore memories from iCloud to bring videos back.

You can create a sharing link for a recap. The link is view-only but not password protected. Anyone who has the link and has Midlaugh, an iCloud account, the Cloud plan and sync turned on can view the video, including anyone the link is forwarded to. Received videos are stored temporarily for viewing and deleted when closed. The App cannot remove a copy that a recipient has saved separately through sharing.

To stop a link, open Settings → Privacy & storage → Manage sharing links, load the list, and tap Stop sharing. This action alone connects to iCloud even on the Free plan, after cancellation or with sync off, and stops only the sharing link. It does not upload or download video or create new shares, and the original video remains. Turning off sync, ending your subscription or deleting the video on your device does not stop a link. Sharing the same video again may make the previous link work again.

5. Notifications

If you allow notifications, the App lets you know when your saved memories have built up or storage is running low using notifications created on your device (local notifications). No notifications are sent from developer servers.

6. Purchases

Purchases and restores are processed through Apple’s App Store. Payment information is handled by Apple; the developer does not receive it.

7. Advertising, analytics and tracking

The App shows no ads, contains no analytics SDK and does not track you. No App Tracking Transparency prompt is shown.

8. When you do not want to be recorded

Choosing Pause capture from the “…” menu during capture and confirming “Discard pending video and pause” stops capture and discards video waiting to be saved. It does not delete videos already saved.
Stop capture is a different action: it keeps video waiting to be saved, up to the moment you stopped.
Faces inside areas you mark in Settings are excluded from smile scoring. This does not hide video or audio; those areas still appear in saved videos.
While recording, a light always appears in the corner of the screen. There is deliberately no way to record while fully hidden.

9. Deleting your data

Memories and recaps can be deleted in the App after a confirmation. Deletion cannot be undone.
Saved memories and recaps are never deleted automatically just to free space; you choose what to remove.
In-app deletion applies to this device’s App storage. Copies in iCloud, in the Photos app and at sharing destinations are not deleted with it. Items still in iCloud reappear if you use Restore memories from iCloud.
Deleting the App removes its storage on your device. Items saved to iCloud remain, so check the deletion options available in Apple’s iCloud storage management.

10. Children

The App is designed to sit in places such as a family living room, so family members, including children, may appear. The settings and actions above also apply to sharing that footage, saving it to Photos and saving it to iCloud. The developer does not receive this footage.
